Just over 8 years ago I photographed my first bird, a juvenile Nankeen Kestrel in Warrnambool, which sparked my interest in animal photography!
Last week I had the pleasure of photographing that same Kestrel again - along with his wife, who was sitting on their nest!
Unfortunately I wasn't prepared for bird photography and only had my 24-85mm lens with me, no where near long enough!
Either way though, I was over the moon to see this bird again, and even more excited to see that he wasn't only still there but that he is making his own family!
I'm looking forward to heading back down there some time soon with a more suitable lens and hopefully having the chance to capture them again!
